It's all she talks about these days so it obviously means a huge amount to her. I hope she's in a space of healing where she can put that positivity into her music, rather than dwelling too much on the pain and anger like she did on Joanne and ARTPOP. She’s been talking about that for years. That kind of music would be expected, unoriginal and simply not Gaga. She’s gonna bring her kindness in every project she does but referring to it explicitly in a song would just be cringey and probably wouldn’t even sound good. Not every concept works when translated into music and some of you need to learn that.

freemymindARTPOP 2,455
i think the album will have some parts about breakup (christian) and mental health since she has been talking alot about that lately also i feel a strong like futuristic grimes like edm techno vibe from it with like all the video game stuff but i feel like that can easily go like “ugh“ like get boring
Bradley 59,253
Regardless of whether it's sonically or lyrically, I want something else other than Sweetener. First of all, Sweetener is very Max Martin-y and I don't exactly like that for a queen like Lady Gaga. Lyrically, no either. Gaga has done something of this nature already, Joanne was about embracing her pain and her roots so it's kinda the same thing. It's time for her to do something provocateur sh*t (in a diff way than before) now. And this is coming from someone who adores Joanne and A Star Is Born. Besides, we have too many artists stripping down and talking about their roots and finding their true selves. It's outdated by now. Rare by Selena Gomez, Sweetener and Thank U, Next by Ariana Grande. It's time for something different.

Hey, I get where you're coming from, I really do, but don't try to police the use of a word being reclaimed by a person that it was used against. I'm a gay man and if I feel comfortable using it in place of other "negative nouns" or words of that type, then let me be. I can understand why someone else wouldn't feel comfortable using it themselves, but as a gay man, I'm comfortable using it. Would you have asked me to not say that if I was a black person using the n-word? What about using the term "tasteless b*tches"? Again, I truly understand where you're coming from! But attempting to police the use of reclaimed slurs by those groups isn't really anyones' place.

Not every concept works when translated into music and some of you need to learn that. First of all, yes, she's always spoken about being kind but she's been speaking out it MUCH more prominently in the last few years (source: I've been a fan since 2009). Secondly, it doesn't have to be explicit in the way that Born This Way the song was, which was intentionally explicit. She is creative and talented enough to convey messages and themes in roundabout ways. And some of you need to learn that.
