I thought this was gonna be a rant about how your ejaculation always looks the same.

Nope, it's a "Throwback" tag, not "Funny". :queenga:

to anyone who doesn't know, its from Marquis De Sades book 120 days of Sodom which is about 4 libertines who lock themselves in a castle with 36 women and teenagers (all the way down to 12 years old) to have the best s*x experience of their lives and they basically raped and did sexual assault to them:what:

I think the poem Is about how they would r*pe the same woman day after day after day..

And now after what Gaga said to Oprah about being raped repeatedly it makes it even darker and sadder :/

Well, thanks to this thread I decided to read The 120 Days of Sodom. :firega: I read some reviews and it seems like people were shocked, so I hope I will like this book. :ally:

I don't understand why she would choose this.

I'm not criticising, I just don't get it.

THANK YOU. I've had that line "...and so it continued always the same" stuck in my head for SO LONG and I couldn't for the life of me remember where it was from. I never thought to ask on here cuz I didn't even know it was Gaga-related :laughga:

You just solved one of the great mysteries of my life haha

I believe it's because of the magnitude of trauma and the PTSD. I think once she was able to remember those dark times, they were really haunting her. And you can see that in her songs (Alejandro, Monster, Bad romance, Teeth, Swine etc) and her obsession with psychological horror movies that revolve around sex and crime. That darkness became a part of her and she's also come to see it as normality

OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH I'VE SPENT YEARS TRYING TO FIND OUT THIS :messga::messga::messga:

I remember waiting for the artRave streaming with this audio repeating on and on and I was trying to understand what she was saying, but couldn't :messga:

I tried to search for it as "the strange cantic previous the artRave show" but couldn't find it :messga:

Now, almost 7 years later I listen to it again and finally know the lyrics :messga:

Also I had no idea about the link with Saló :wtfga:

If the book is as shocking as the movie, well... Good luck.

it likely could have resonated with her, thats always been my take on it. she was sexually assaulted in her early career and the whole ARTPOP era was tinged with darkness behind the bright and colourful visage of the whole record. Case-and-point songs like Princess Die, Sexxx Dreams, Dope/I Wanna Be With U, Swine

well it could have personal meaning to her as the poem is about someone being raped repeatedly...

like @March34th said in a post over this, alot of the ARTPOP era had moments about sexual assault/rape.., Dope and Swine forexample
