It's me going around claiming around I have PTSD because my boss looked at me a bit weird. I was literally jumped at by the presidents bodyguard and guess what? It's their job to keep people safe. I'm not going to claim I have trauma because of it. I still stand by the fact that claiming you have PTSD because someone was a bit rough to you is doing way too much. If you wanna do this faux woke thingy, go on. If THIS made the OP have PTSD, I'm glad his life is so great that this is causing him trauma. i understand where you're coming from, but i still think that pain cannot really be measured, compared, or relativized, especially because the mental/psychological dispositions of people vary considerably. if you hurt taylor swift, i'll hurt you back

Reginald 13,841
People are in this thread gatekeeping PTSD? Fighting to prove who's the most traumatized, and who's the most resilient to trauma? Smh. This is just dumb and will go nowhere.
skedaddleBItCh 2,809
Close the thread please It's freaking stupid to even comment about a mental health condition without even doing some research @Hurem PTSD can be triggered at a specific time and place. Not only may the yank in the arm caused the trigger, it may be the lighting, the people around them, the noise, the sightings around them, the surrounding, etc. To even say that only major events can cause/trigger PTSD is hella stupid. 🇵🇭༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽🇵🇭

Sorry, but I see PTSD as a result of a big greater trauma than someone touching you. Not every trigger or feeling of discomfort is trauma and not every trauma leads to PTSD. Franch Toast 26,853
Yes, mods, please close and delete this thread. It’s served its purpose and now is veering into directions unintended. For the record though, some of y’all have terrible reading comprehension. This wasn’t directly related to my Enigma m&g, and I never claimed that it gave me PTSD. Also, I never publicly said what happened, so please be careful commenting on something about which you don’t know. Finally, I am a she, not a he. Thanks to everyone for your kind support!💖 She/Her/Hers

Someone could have been raped, molested, abused, assaulted, etc., went to the meet & greet, been tossed by Peter (metaphorically, but still) and trigger their PTSD. What exactly doesn't make sense about this? No one in this thread insinuated or implied that Peter being rough with people would induce PTSD, just that it could be triggered. Furthermore, everyone's mental state is different; what could lead some to develop chronic stress and trauma does not exactly have to be the same as another person. Gross that this is even being discussed.

This is the post that I first quoted and where all the PTSD discussion begun: On 1/2/2020 at 1:29 AM, crisTEAne said: they should re-name the meet and greet to "getting you instant PTSD." such a shame. gagz, do better. As you can see, they said that the meet and greet itself would give someone a PTSD, not trigger it. And I still stand by my point that nothing at the M&G can cause PTSD itself.
