According to metacritic, Lana Del Rey's latest album Norman F*cking Rockwell became the album with the most #1 placements on 2019 year end music lists, 14 in total.

The album was mentioned as #2 in other 12 lists and was overall mentioned in 37 lists at various positions. 

Apart from this, it sits with a 87 score on metacritic, indicating universal acclaim and the highest score of Lana's career so far. :applause:

The album with the second most #1s on year end lists is Magdalene by FKA twigs (9 publications), followed by Billie's  When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (6 publications), followed by Dogrel by Fontaines D.C.5 and by Nick Cave and Bad Seeds' Ghosteen  which were considered #1 by 5 lists each.

The way she's been embraced by critics was gradual though. 

NFR is definitely the culmination but looking back Paradise had better reception than BTD, Ultraviolence had better reception than Paradise and same with Honeymoon and LFL. She almost had an almost perfect upwards trajectory:

So well deserved :applause:

 

Despite all the criticism she got over her career, she kept true to herself. She did her thing, even when people were tired of it, and never really gave in.

 

The album is amazing and hopefully we get a nice surprise the next Grammys.
