inb4 Disney buys Harry Potter and makes a sequel film where Harry comes out as Harriet just to incense Rowling.

"The closet under the stairs wasn't the first closet."

Why do you, as a trans woman, think it’s okay to say that? Does that not contradict everything you believe?

This thread is so cringe.

Because it's true, and it's transphobic of you to insinuate that I have to believe anything just for the sole fact that I'm trans

so employers can fire you based on some debatable tweets you made?

I can see the issue.

I don't think that means @ChromeAngel is transphobic. They just disagreed with your statement just like you disagreed with theirs.

Why everything always has to get ruined?:fail: Well not ruined, but the point of view and the associations change, and this is definitely leaving a bad taste in the mouth.:S

All these things that we adored when we were younger.:ohno: Disney, Pokemon, Avatar, Lady Gaga :stalkga: and now Harry Potter. Well that allready got ruined with The Cursed Child, but still.

I don't understand her tweet?

The lady (Maya?) definitely deserved to be canned and it's gross that she's siding with her but what does she mean "for stating that sex is real"?

Yeah, it's actually in most employer's...idk, contract? Terms of employment? You know what I mean. When you post on social media, you're a rep for that company.

If hate speech is against their policy and you share hate speech then you can, and should, lose that job :lolly:

J.K. Rowling has always been a privileged clown, effortlessly giving Liberals a horrible name. I don't understand why people adored her. Yeah, she wrote the Harder Potty books, or whatever they're called, but she is still an eternal SWINE.

Harry Potter is extremely political tho? Voldemort is basically Adolf Hitler and don't get me started in discussions about slavery with the elfs.

I've never thought of it in that way :laughga:

But anyway, in no way does HP carry transphobic or homophobic ideas or beliefs - that was my point.

JK Rowling may be transphobic and that's to blame, but let her art live in peace since it in no way spreads hate messages and it's in fact great and progressive in some ways.
