I get that legit. I totally get that and sort of agree but at the same time how I stated it still stands. Why must he have to be anything? Why does him dressing the way he does automatically mean he owes the community an explanation.

It's not personal for straight people. Sorry I hate when people say sexuality is personal only when it comes to describing gay people (who are most likely closeted). You dont see straight people hiding their love in public.

Well as a fan I’m not bothered by his answer, he owes people nothing and he’s done more for the queer community in general than a lot of queer people themselves on here have 💀 like his charity Treat People With Kindness donates money to help LGBT people, every year on his birthday and sometimes other occasions his fans will make fan art and sell it at auctions online to other fans and all the money goes to LGBT charities etc

if he doesn’t wanna say, he doesn’t wanna say. Do y’all not remember the years of being pestered for answers on your sexuality? It’s not easy.

Yo I had this conversation with my friend and I thought she was wrong when she said "the gay community has this entitlement where people need to have labels. If not there is an issue with it." Like why can't people come to terms that there are people out there who do not want labels thrown on them, they don't feel comfortable; that's their choice to not follow through labeling themselves for the whole world to categorize you in a box. Some day people will have to learn to not be so nosey about people's labels and just let them be. People should not be forced to open up completely about their sexuality. You wanted and answer you got it, not satisfied too bad.

I see what you’re saying in some sense. But labels don’t exist because someone invented them, it’s an evolutionary biological process that serves a purpose. It would have to or categorizing  wouldn’t exist. That’s how evolution works. It’s not just sexuality or gender that we label, it’s literally every single thing that exists. It’s one of the hallmarks of humanity. It’s not some evil scary thing invented by a straight man to keep everyone in check. 

So I don’t get what your friend means by labels in the gay community. Does the straight “community” not label everything as well?
