EDIT: Also, having Kesha release first to set the scene with 2010's vibes is a perfect rollout if Gaga is planning a return to form with dance pop. 

EDIT 2: I just realized this is the first year in a while that we haven't even had a single from Gaga. I miss her music so much 😢

Even in 2012 we had Princess Die, Bitch Don't Mill My Vibe, Cake like Lady Gaga and Stache as standalone songs, it's just that they weren't released officially.

2018 is the first year with no new music since the start of of her career unless you want to count the I Wanna Be With You studio version leak or the "Stupid Live" snippet.

I don’t count non-official releases. 2012 and I guess 2019 are her only off years. What sucks thought is that even in 2012 she was supposed to release PARTYNAUSEOUS, so she didn’t even plan to have an off year until.... this year?

Well it was still music she intended for us to hear and gave it to us via an unofficial platform. I guess it's different because it wasn't supposed to sell or be promoted.

Anyways, since the A Star Is Born Era will officially and once and for all be over after the Grammys, maybe she'll make an announcement like she did in 2010 during her speech.

I’m fairly certain in the Nikkie Tutorials video that Gaga made it clear or at least very heavily alluded to her new music being tied to her upcoming make-up releases so I do not think she was joking about this — that’s just the vibe I got from this. 

Edit: For the record when people first stated suggesting that her music would be anchored to Haus Laboratories releases many months ago, I scoffed and thought it was a stupid idea but after that tutorial video I believe it’s going to happen that way.
