It's sad how common that is tho, Still even today in 2019. Insecure Kids feeling the need to prove their not gay by being hateful. I'm glad he was able to take a step back and realize that even if he wasn't gay there'd be nothing wrong with that.

Lol to the people thinking this is a joke. Get out of your bubble and open your eyes. There's people being thrown down buildings for being gay. Majority of gays don't experience pride and dressing up for the parade. There are some seriously homophobic people, and it isn't a minority. I'm glad you haven't experienced homophobia, but most us have.

Maybe not that much… I mean, the most it's forbidden, the gayer people are in a way… I mean, you don't choose to be gay, but you can choose to experience it. It’s so ironic isn’t it- people who have the most “freedoms” can be the most close-minded. I had way more (and better) sexual encounters in Turkey than I did in France. Lots of posers in the West. Well anywhere that worships Hollywood really.

Lmaoooooo there is ONE guy in my life that I liked (I'm from France), and he was french of Turkish extraction  it was soooo clear that he wanted it but he was hiding it even to me because we was too scared of the way people would see him… I mean, live your life the way you want to live it, not the way you think people would want you to live it. And honnestly, at school I talked to everybody aout that and everybody secretly wanted us to do something together! Well, he missed the opportunity, too bad

What a coincidence! And a shame he didn’t know how to let himself be happy (with you). Guys who are bicultural (is that even a word?) always feel like they’re betraying their original culture. It’s a shame but it’s sort of understandable. Love takes time. It doesn’t need to be that way, but sometimes people can’t or don’t learn to forget what others think and to trust that what only matters is inside.

EXACTLY! We used to be really close to each other, we were together 24/7 (including the night) and the last time I saw him (like 6 months ago), I talked to him and I went straight to the point and he didn't expect that so he panicked (is THIS a word?) a bit and he told me "if my mom saw that she would kill me…" and then stopped what he was saying and he said "but um... um... I'm not like that". Even his muslim friends were super positive about it and wanted it to happen… but as I said, he probably lost his only chance, I didn't lose mine cuz if I ever liked a guy again, I would still be open

That's not true at all. Yeah SOME homophobes are actually gay but most of them aren't, they just don't agree with LGBT.
