It’s very hard to do when there are more guns than Americans in America, where owning a gun is a right. Banning guns will never happen without a war happening. I am pro gun control. People make fun of me but in my country 99% don't just have a gun in their pockets or home, a majority does in the US, I don't see how thats safe at all. I even planned on closing the window and the shutters when I go to sleep to avoid any burglars or shooting. I just don't know how u can live like this 30% of adults own a gun. You really shouldn’t be paranoid. I live in a large city in Texas and I have never seen a gun except on a police officer. Unless you’re in a dangerous neighborhood filled with gang members and drug dealers where people are shooting each other, there is no rational reason to have a fear of being shot. This is why these mass shootings in schools, stores, etc are so shocking: it’s not supposed to be normal.

"there have been 369 mass shootings in the U.S., according to data from the nonprofit Gun Violence Archive (GVA)" Which means around 1 shooting a day, but theres more shootings than days in a year. I wonder why americans are still shocked if it happens everyday Im not gonna let my guards down even if u say u were born there and nothing happened. It's like playing russian roulette, everyday u wake up, theres gonna be a shooting, it's a question of WHERE. That's frightening

Number is even higher. I’m just letting you know it’s not a reason to live in constant fear, especially as a tourist. I don’t live with fear, but I guess that’s my choice.
