House Speaker Pelosi said that Trumps desire to take on China in itself wasnt bad but that he did it in a poor ineffective way that has left the US vulnerable

 

Pelosi says rather than biting off more than he could chew and go on a trade war with everybody, Trump should of put all his energy against China in which there’s real consensus that their trade practices truly are unfair

 

Pelosi said rather than puttinf tarrifs and alieanating allies with tarrifs, the US should have tried to allign with them against China to put harder pressure on them in a united way in which theyd be more likely to actually yield to true reforms

 

Pelosi in particular highlighted the European Union which combined is an economy about as large as the US itself

 

USA combined with EU is roughly 50% of world GDP and economic output meaning a combined effort between the two would surely bring any Nation like China to its knees
