Ridley Scott is the kind of director capable of doing absolute masterpieces (Blade Runner, Alien, Thelma & Louise) as well as total craps (G.I. Jane, Hannibal)

He basically shoot screenplays without any judgement, bringing his great professionalism that unfortunately, is not always enough to assure a good movie.

I will wait to see the results before being too happy about it. Besides, after ASIB it is a very peculiar artistic choice I reckon...

With Gaga and Ridley Scott it’s basically assured to get greenlit. Landing Gaga, the lead, is what sells a picture to a studio. Basically, there’s a deal that she signed onto and so now that picture gets shipped around.
