Britney undoubtedly had a massive impact on Vegas, look at all the more recent acts that followed her as a result of her success. Give credit where it is due.

Also Britney hasn't released any music since 2016 and has been on a career hiatus since the start of this year, so ofcourse she's not going to be everywhere or have singles charting

Yes I completely agree. I should’ve clarified. Her residency is doing amazing but her albums haven’t been in the “scene” since Femme Fatale. Its more of a legacy type act while when Gaga releases albums they are usually at the forefront of pop and a lot of people listen to them. This is in no way to discredit Britney she’s had an amazing career but her current music is dead. She only has a “legacy career”.  Correct me if I’m wrong

i get where you're coming from, it appears her team have tried to make her into a legacy act! but the girl is 20+ years into her career, i'd love to see how other acts are doing when they reach that mark. i think Gaga will be one of the rare few that will still be around and doing decent like Brit at this stage of her career.

i really hope when britney is free she focuses on new stuff and not relying on her old catalogue, so i get your point  but i think a lot of this is because her last two albums have been released while she's been in vegas! i cannot agree with you saying her current music is 'dead' as i believe Glory is one of her best albums!  

we all have different opinions, which is fine  i just don't think artists should be compared when one has been around 20+ years so obviously they aren't going to be as big as their heyday compared to artists that have been around for 10 years or less.

I think they meant recent hits - but Kelly's star power goes way beyond whether she's topped the charts in the past year or two. She's absolutely a household name and will be a big draw.

I think people forget sometimes that the reason you go to a concert isn't just to hear the artist's latest material, but also to hear all their biggest songs. And Kelly's had a LOT of big songs.

This is what I meant. Gaga didn't debut any new song (yet) on her Vegas residency. I don't see why Kelly had to have new hits before she can have her own.
