Economy

My Country is lucky when it comes to global warming. We have 20% of the earths fresh water in volume and over 600,000 lakes so fresh water for only 0.5% of earths population so fresh water should remain abundant for many years to come

Also most of our population is not in low altitude coastal cities. Vancouver is perhaps the only major city closer to water levels and even they already are taking steps to phase out construction and population zoning in the lowest areas in anticipation of the areas expected to be submerged if water levels rose up to 3 metres (roughly 9 feet)

I wonder if Portugal where i used to live will get hit harder. Fresh water there is more scarse and a good portion of the population lives by the coast. I have family there :ohno:

Edit: the saddest part is that Countries that are already poor as it is are the ones global warming is expected to hit hardest especially when it comes to droughts, Asia and Africa look particularly bad. And the tropics are the most vulnerable to increasing strength of storms

Developed Countries will feels effects too but most, especially Northern ones like Canada, Russia and Northern Europe will be less severely

but pls, tell me how turning off ur tap in north america makes u a better person

I hope you know air pollution is different from fossil fuel use, fossil fuel exportation, fossil fuel importation, and air pollution in many countries is caused by producing things for major developed countries that have exported their pollution elsewhere.

The truth is: Countries like the US are the biggest polluters in the world directly and indirectly.
