March34th 1,973
i do believe alot of the fighting on either side has caused people to go back to eating animals. as a vegan i can say firsthand ive lost friends over my lifestyle, though i try to be compassionate and take an educational approach when talking about veganism with friends because obviously no one is a bad person for eating meat - its part of most human cultures especially in the west. but education does help as does understanding and compassion and its 100% ok to mess up on a vegetarian/vegan diet because for most people it's hard to maintain especially when living with others. though i think everyone should at least consider reducing their animal product intake for the sake of the environment and ones own health benefits from doing so

I'm always shook when I see how people were before they went vegan and how they're now. They don't look healthy at all. humans actually dont require meat per-se, but its the proteins and nutrients from these products that we need, which can be found in even a fully vegan diet. eating meat is just a very easy way to get these nutrients because its commonplace in most places of the world

Just drink your milk! - Kinda related, I know a guy who calls himself vegetarian, and to his credit he doesn't eat meat, but he doesn't eat vegetables either The man survives solely on pasta, grains, and snack foods like candy, chips, etc. - Also, related-ish but since I've been reading this thread I've gotten ads for Omaha Steakhouse I might break my no-red-meat streak next time I'm in Orlando Whimsical bitch

We did accidentally feed the vegan at work a non vegan cupcake! We made vegan ones and thought those were the ones we brought but they weren’t! Whoopsies! Not as short as the life of the pigs that are massacred for your delight 12 hours ago, SwissMonster said: On the first part. Sure you do what you want. But facts are that it isn’t good for your health, for animals AND the environment when you eat meat EVERYDAY. That is insane to me, there is no reason a human has to eat that much meat. The second part is just ignorant...And you find it funny that you gave a vegan person something non-vegan... That says a lot about you Agree, agree. 12 hours ago, Renie said: I appreciate that people are vegan and vegetarian! And I love animals so that part for me is hard! I mean no disrespect by it! I just happen to like meat! It’s something I enjoy eating and no I’m not shoving 3 hamburgers in my face a day. I eat a lot of veggies and I’d say I eat equal amounts of both. I actually eat pretty healthy and limit dairy. I dislike vegans who rub their veganism in your face. Im perfectly healthy with the diet I eat and don’t need anyone telling me what to put in my mouth. As far as the cupcake. It was an honest mistake that we didn’t realize until after the fact. Yes i felt bad but it was too late, so we laugh about it now! Everyone involved is ok! You don’t love animals stfu. Eat all the meat you want but don’t be a fool cause all you do is that. Fool yourself.

Addison Rae 18,133
I’m not vegetarian but I’m interested in eventually transitioning into it for ethical/health reasons. I like meat, but if I can find alternatives to meat that can still give me protein and other nutrients, why not try it out? sitting on his lap sipping diet pepsi

These conditions are not only more humane for the animals, but also have a significantly smaller impact on the environment compared to industrial farming. socotra 3,357
Me. I really think the focus should not be on purity so much as lessening consumption. Flexitarianism is the way to go (if you're not doing it for strictly moral, for-animals reasons).
gypsy101 5,453
my best friend was a vegetarian for like a decade and when she was pregnant the first time her soon-to-be-ex-husband somehow convinced her to start eating chicken because she had low iron or something like that even though they make supplements you can take. and now five years later she still eats chicken
