Loved RDJ as Iron Man. He gave the films real depth. Do I believe his turn as Tony Stark is Oscar worthy? No.

Don't get me wrong. Avengers is a really good movie as of whole but I honestly don't see any best actor/actress nominations in it and that was my point

Truth is the special effects and RDJ's role are the only things that should be considered for the Oscars. 

EG had more holes than Swiss cheese and then the Spiderman movie brought up so much more holes. 

IW was the better movie IMO.

There are also campaigning for an acting oscar this year for 

RDJ in Endgame

But I am sure this is Joaquin Phoenix's  year for the Joker

I enjoyed Endgame a lot but it's not really Oscarworthy acting-wise. This is a superhero, visual, action film.

IW had a much better first act, but I felt like EG’s second and especially its third act make it better than IW

Why would he have been? Tony Stark was an important part of The Infinity Saga, and RDJ played him exceptionally well, bringing the character to life. But that's about it.
