Muslims are no different from any other religious people. The literal text of their religion is backwards nonsense and some of them are assholes who use that text to "justify" hurting others but the VAST majority of the people who call themselves Muslim or Christian or anything else are good (or at least neutral) people who would never hurt someone based on a religious ideal.

Don't be ridiculous.

OT: good  I hope this kind of movement gains all the momentum it needs to make parades like this a matter of celebrating history rather than trying to change the future.

There is no doubt that islamic societies are very opposed to homosexuality.

Name a single muslim-majority country that doesn't discriminate against gays?

Even Tunisia, which is considered by Freedom House as the only democratic/free muslim-majority in the world discriminates against gays.

So it's not tied to authoritarianism, even if these countries were to become democracies, they'd still oppose LGBT rights. 

Also apparently same-sex is okay in islam as long as it involves "young boys":

SURA LII:24

"And there shall wait on them [the Muslim men] young boys of their own, as fair as virgin pearls."

SURA LXXVI:19

"They shall be attended by boys graced with eternal youth, who will seem like scattered pearls to the beholders."

Sorry but this religion is just so messy.

Do yourself a favor and quit it. If you live in a country where you can't quit islam, do it secretly in your heart.
