Go for the Troutlips Gang ! You won't see LG in it. Because she still has the same charming pout, her great rabbit teeth and Callas' nose... (I could go on...) She's beautiful and sexy and she has such a lovely voice ! She's a talented star. She's blooming. Talent, even as big and varied as hers has to find a way to get recognized. She needed to imagine herself until she found the queen she is. I trust her strong belief. She helps people to hatch, to create. Late to the party but I got a diamond heart

I think you can still love yourself/promote a message of self love and acceptance and get plastic surgery. body modifications/aesthetic procedures only add to who you are, they don’t make you who you are. From your view, are you suggesting trans individuals are “dishonest” for getting fillers when they are trying to look more like the gender they identify with/work on their insecurities? When the world is heavily reliant on visual perception our image tells a story, and material augmentations to our individual visual story can seem superficial, as consumers we turn products into pieces of our identity, what is in between the perceptions of wearing super dry and wearing revlon, smoking cutters choice over Marlboro. A person's trans identity can be incredibly affected by their own visual presentation to the world, makeup, hair dye, bleaching, botox, surgery. applying these things to our image does not make us fake, our belongings and ideas become part of our identity. A wise woman once said: “My face is the front of shop. My face is the real shop front. My shop is the face I front. I’m REAL when I shop my face.” - SOPHIE, Faceshopping. Im seriously trying to understand why getting cosmetic procedure done is such a big deal on this site .

We as human are complicated beings. Ive said a lot of things that I truly meant with my heart and then do the opposite, I don't blame her or find her to be a dishonest person because of this detail, she's just human and she doesn't have to be perfect and say the perfect thing all the time unless she's the president or something. She's just tryna convey the message of stop trying to look like all the instagram beauty standards which is influenced by the Kardashians. Trust me if she wanted to look like that we wouldve noticed because it's very easy and theres a striking similarity in people who try to achieve that look. Gaga is pretty honest about how integral body modification is to own her self image and, obviously, the image she projects as LG. Like, seriously, who is better equipped to teach us all about the authenticity of performativity? The ASIB Colbert interview is a good example of this, when they're talking about the natural hair/no makeup aesthetic and she says, 'that's not the real me, this is the real me.' That's why I personally find her comments about her dream of everyone constructing their true self w/ HL in the same breath as comments about how obsessed the beauty industry is with contour, big lips, etc. rather disingenuous. As another wise woman once said, "I know you care" (Beyonce, 2014). She genuinely has a good, unique message about the process of constructing identity with cosmetics, there's no need to qualify it with statements implicating herself as a hypocrite. If Sophie was selling makeup, she'd be like 'here's a lipgloss for your dsls and a highlighter for your dermal fillers, babe.'

But that not everyone needs to do things the same way. There is no contradiction. It's the same when people claim she shouldn't get any fillers because its not "born this way" of her. She never meant that statement in that way and has said so herself, but fans try to use it against her because they keep trying to invent hypocrisies to trap her in.
