FABian 852
Neither will beat trump. Sorry lol. Bernie is too old now, and his temperament is only getting worse because of it. As for warren? Can I just say pocahontas? Also let's not forget about her approval for a border wall not too long ago. Tulsi gabbard is that partys best option but they shunned her for not being left enough, and smeared her by calling her an assad apologist, for trying to be DIPLOMATIC

A lot of us don’t trust Warren but we know she’s our second best shot. And again, 74% of Bernie supporters voted for Clinton in 2016. Your claim of sexism is false. Also, Sanders base is the most diverse group. Non-white person here. And here, children, is where we learn the difference between anecdotal and empirical evidence... Anecdotal evidence is collected in a casual or informal manner and relying heavily or entirely on personal testimony. (This is what you are providing) Empirical evidence is information acquired by observation or experimentation. Scientists record and analyze this data. (This is what the polls are resembled by) We must trust the empirical evidence and not your personal, anecdotal evidence. And the empirical evidence is clear: Bernie supporters' second choice is more likely to Biden than it is to be Warren. That's problematic to me... My extrapolation from this is that (some of) Bernie's supporters are not, as they proclaim, voting based on ideological, progressive ideals... But rather, they are voting based on the sexist view that a woman cannot/shouldn't be POTUS. I'm not making a generalization. I'm simply pointing out the indisputable evidence, and interpreting it in the way that is logical. You can argue with my interpretation, but not the evidence itself. And two, the reason why he could lose to Trump is because he’s NOT a progressive. So your claim that we are “sexist” is once again false. We care about policies. Most of us don’t have the privilege to choose based on gender only. These policies directly affect us. Specially minorities like myself. So no, I don’t care about someone’s gender. As much as Clinton supporter did. When I say some of us don’t trust Warren is because we go way back. Warren knew all along that Clinton was not a progressive. In 2016, when Warren could’ve endorsed Bernie during the primaries, she didn’t. And we recently found out it was because she was hoping to be considered Clinton’s pick for VP. She knew Clinton was going to lose to Trump. She knew the danger of a Clinton candidacy. Because she has a long history with Hillary Clinton. Warren does not seem to be all on board with Medicare For All. This is one of the top issue for progressives. And lastly, Warren’s track record on war and militarism. One of Obama’s biggest criticism is his foreign policy failures. Instead of reducing wars, he escalated them. So being concerned with Warren’s record on that matter, is not surprising. We simply wouldn’t want history to repeat itself again. We want to end the useless wars. Despite all of that, I bet you more Bernie Sanders supporters would vote for Warren in 2020 if she were to become the democratic nominee than we did for Clinton in 2016. Given the political atmosphere in Texas and Arizona, I’d say that’s pretty damn important. It might be, at 12 percent of the 2016 Democratic electorate, but 24 percent of the 2016 Democratic electorate was African American. In four of six recent polls that broke out African American voters, Joe Biden leads among African American voters by 19 to 36 points. I don’t think there is a pathway to the Democratic nomination without the black voters. Super Tuesday gives black voters a ton of power and it is fairly early in the primary process. By the way, neither Sanders or Biden are my first...or second...or third...or...choice. I’m not “against” Sanders and “for” Biden...but I will stick a sign in my yard and vote for either of them if they are the nominee. I am against Trump! No one else that’s running! This is a really bad argument and I don’t have the time or patience to walk through all the logical fallacies you just espoused. To say that my statement about some of Bernie’s supporters being sexist is categorically false, without providing even a scintilla of evidence, is so pathetically weak that I’m unsure if it could even qualify as an argument. Given the political atmosphere in Texas and Arizona, I’d say that’s pretty damn important. As of the week of August the 23rd, FiveThirtyEight was reporting that “Hispanic Democrats don’t seem to have a favorite yet. A lot of polls of the 2020 race don’t include a large enough number of Latino respondents to break out the group’s results. But in its newly released survey, the Pew Research Center interviewed 237 Hispanic respondents who either identify as Democrats or lean towards the party. Biden had the support of 27 percent of Latino Democrats, with Bernie Sanders (15 percent) and Elizabeth Warren (14) the only other candidates in double-digits. Morning Consult found fairly different results among Hispanic voters: Sanders at 29 percent, Biden 22 and Warren 10. In short, exactly where Hispanic voters stand is somewhat unclear. While basically every poll shows Biden well ahead among blacks, Hispanic voters as a bloc seem more up for grabs. Perhaps Hispanic voters won’t unify behind a single candidate — unlike black Democrats, they haven’t historically.” Looks like The Hispanic vote is still a toss up and that they historically have different voting patterns than other minority groups. The mere presence of reasons that Bernie supporters don’t like Warren is not a counterargument to my claim that some Bernie supporters don’t like Warren based on, to some extent, sexist beliefs. You’re attacking a straw man. 2. I never called you sexist. Didn’t happen. Don’t get it twisted. 3. Side note: I’m flummoxed at the fact that you feel comfortable speaking for all of Bernie’s supporters (the pronoun use of ‘we’)... I’m a Warren supporter currently, and I would never, ever speak on behalf of all of her supporters because I don’t have the authority or knowledge to do so. If a random Trump supporter says that, we, the Trumpers, condemn Nazis, that would be a false statement. The random Trump supporter can say that they, singularly, condemn Nazis. But what they cannot say is that Trump supporters as a whole condemn Nazis, because some of them are Nazis themselves. Do you see what I’m getting at? If talking specifically about policies is not a counterargument to why some of us don’t like Warren, respectfully, I’d like for you to explain your reasoning as to why you think some Bernie supporters don’t like Warren (to some extent) because of sexism. 2. Apologies. 3. It isn’t about me feeling comfortable speaking on behalf of Sanders supporters. I definitely do NOT have the authority to speak on behalf of them. However, this is not the first time Sanders supporters have been accused of being either sexists, the reason as to why Trump won or being privilege white men. I live with them. I have met plenty of them. We come from different backgrounds. And I have never had an instance where someone gave me the impression of not liking Warren because she’s a woman. Warren has been a respectable figure for progressives for a long time now. Some feel differently about her because of what happened in 2016. I’m just trying to understand why such a claim exist. And this early on the race already.

I know they are distinct candidates, but the media's job in an election is to parse out the differences amongst candidates so their viewers (voters) can make a decision.
