The Warren-Bernie love displayed here by a vocal few may not be what is happening out in the world outside of this forum. You’re way out of touch. Go check Bernie Sanders supporters throughout social media. Not one is supporting Biden. All want him gone. Because he’s the reason as to why we could lose again in 2020. Also, believing sexism played a part in the general election isn't something that would be blamed on primarily Bernie voters, but they certainly weren’t exempt from being influenced by it. Sexism was absolutely a factor in 2016, including with some Bernie supporters I'm sure. But bottom line is over three-quarters of Bernie supporters turned out for Hillary, so people really need to give up that tired argument that they're Bernie or Bust. A lot of us don’t trust Warren but we know she’s our second best shot. And again, 94% of Bernie supporters voted for Clinton in 2016. Your claim of sexism is false. Also, Sanders base is the most diverse group. Non-white person here. Have you met hundreds of thousands of people? There are many Bernie supporters that you don’t know or will ever talk to. Can you prove sexism wasn’t a factor in the 2016 election. Most historians and those who study election statistics believe it was.

I’ll go by the polls and factual information, not a random group of people I find on social media. Biden is leading in the polls, he has the majority of the minority support at this time. Those are the facts.

By the way, this really speaks more to the "electability" argument that's incessantly thrown around. The establishment and the media like to push this narrative that he's the most electable, people then regurgitate this argument in polling since that's what they hear, which coupled with name recognition allows him to lead in the polls, which then further feeds the argument that he's the most electable. It's a vicious cycle really but completely fails to account for how weak a candidate he really is. Like he's lost essentially every other time he's ever ran for office but somehow now he's the most electable and most likely to win

Sexism played a part in the 2016 election and it will impact the 2020 election, as well. Sanders’ support is LITERALLY more diverse than Warren’s, so this statement is coming out of your ass. A more logical argument is that Sander’s large black support would go to Biden because the Obama legacy.
Morphine Prince 109,739
Found the poll you guys are talking about and it’s from February 2019. Among Bernie supporters: 26% say Biden is second choice 16% say Warren is second choice We are in September. I am sure these numbers are not the same. So many things have happened. I agree, that it seems insane...but in July, Politico reported that “In Morning Consult, Reuters-Ipsos and Washington Post-ABC News polls, more Sanders supporters name Biden as their second choice than Warren”. Clinton lost because she didn’t care at all about campaigning in the places that gave Trump the presidency. It is out of touch white liberals like you that keep us far from real change. I have not seen this sentiment anywhere to be honest. The likely explanation probably comes down to the electability thing (see my post about it above), name recognition, and the fact that people are more likely to report "socially desirable" things in polls. I highly doubt they legitimately count him as their second choice, and besides this really doesn't mean much anyway.
