I really want one for myself too :blush: You probably know something about getting glasses so can I just buy frames and take them to Specsavers or Nissen or whatever and just say that I want lenses of this (*hands prescription)* strength to these frames

Yes, you should be able to take your frames and get the glasses fitted in them. You should be able to do it at the same place you do your eye exam. Are you doing your eye exam in a store or a special place?

Then just tell them you have frames that you want the prescription to go into :)

The thing about eyeglasses is that you need frames to fit your face. And that means the right shape, size (width especially). I wouldn't buy them online unless i know it'll suit me.

I did find the measurements for the Dita Sintra glasses:

Lens Width = 49mm

Frame Height = 41mm

Bridge = 18mm

Temple (Arm Length) = 145mm

Yeah I first have to figure out which shape ja size fit me the best but maybe I'll ask someone in the store when I have my eye exam.

The problem is that I have huge forehead and invisible eyebrows

@OpenHeartedMonster @Renie

So I flew to the UK today so I had a lot of time to kill and I spent that time digging through lots of websites and the Dita fb page :stalkga:

I think Gaga's glasses are the DITA SINTRA frames.

They're at the higher end I will admit. I own expensive frames, but if I'm ever buying Dita they better be on the second hand market :ladyhaha:

Time to find in-store versions of Dita frames with the same measurements to try on. I love a good challenge to occupy my mind :ally:

EDIT: Wants - Dita classes. Reality - probably going to end up with similar frames from another brand.

They do :)  There are a lot of basic black frames that are similar to the Dita ones, and in-store brands are always cheaper.

The second link has similar measurements and the first one is similar to an in-store pair I have which I don't like to have on when I'm talking to people. I only wear them when I'm in front of the computer. As @doppelganger mentioned that's why it's so important to try in store (even though I did that).

Tbh I don't wear my in-store brand glasses nearly as much as I do my brand glasses (both sunglasses and glasses). My in-store sunglasses were a spur of the moment buy as it was 2 for 1 and I needed to update my prescription and I wanted spare ones that I could use for trips to certain areas. Now I have them in my car so I always have a pair of sunnies there.

I do highly suggest you try out what you feel comfortable with and what you feel works for you. Also how the bridge works for you as I prefer the one that you have posted above but it can feel heavy for some people.

An optometrist gave me a tip : the midline of the lense should centre with your eye.

I have a small face and while I love the look of thick black acetate frames , it just doesn't suit me.

I find that the Lennon styled glasses really suit my small face. My sunglasses are vintage Cutler & Gross and eyeglasses from Masunaga.
