Igglybuff rhymes with Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff. Iggly is a shortening of jiggly and wiggly, indicating it is less than either of its evolutionary line. Pupurin may be a combination of プチ puchi (petit), 風船 fūsen (balloon), and 膨れる fukureru (to expand or inflate), as well as a pun on プリン purin (pudding). Igglybuff is tied with Magikarp, Carvanha, Attack Forme Deoxys, Caterpie, and Weedle for having the lowest Special Defense stat of all Pokémon. Igglybuff has the lowest base Defense of all Fairy-type Pokémon. Igglybuff is tied with Cleffa for having the lowest base Speed of all Fairy-type Pokémon. A pre-alpha sketch depicts an unused Pokémon with the same Pokédex number as Igglybuff. Igglybuff and its evolutionary relatives share their category with Qwilfish and Drifloon. They are all known as the Balloon Pokémon. Facts about Delibird: Origins: Spoiler Aspects of Delibird's appearance appear to come from the rockhopper penguin. However, its red and white color scheme, its ability to give presents, and the appearance of carrying its sack-like tail is likely to have been derived from Santa Claus and possibly the white stork. Delibird may have also been inspired by puffins, which are penguin-like birds that still have the ability to fly. Delibird is one of the few Pokémon who can learn TM moves when it learns fewer than four moves by leveling up. The Pokémon Ultimate Handbook incorrectly states that Delibird is a Legendary Pokémon.
