I think it could be due to the fact that they see the world as categories as Trump does. If you're LGBT you are not allowed to do x and y and z even if it would make your life happier. If you're not an immigrant, you have the right to x and y and z but if you're an immigrant kid who happens to have a deadly disease you have no right to do x and y and z, BUT if you are black and american you should do x and y and z, also if you're a woman you have no right to etc etc etc

Whereas you see people as human beings with emotions, and basic human rights like food, shelter, peace, and the right to be happy unless u wanna cause real harm to the world. So you'll most likely think, oh my god this poor kid needs and should have help to get better and healthier regardless of his citizenship status, but all these people see when they see those kids is 'IMMIGRANT, MUST LEAVE, NOT THEIR HOME'

US children without insurance with cancer and deadly diseases would fall under CHIP, so yes they would be treated. 

 

The US medical system already is capably helping these children who are here legally under special waivers, without any evidence that they are onerous burden to the system, as there are only a couple of thousand medical deferrals with a right to remain, in a country of over 300 million people.

There is no evidence that not helping these children would lead to US citizens having a higher insurance coverage rate, or those who have insurance having better medical cover or care.

Of course there are US citizens that could use better healthcare coverage, but making these children sicker, will not make any US citizen healthier.

This is so true and very sad.

They will never see behind those labels and categories, but the funny thing is that when they are one day part of a category, they're not scared to demand their right.

If you notice, even in Trump's speeches, he says things like "Blacks love me and I love the blacks" or "Women love me I have no problems with women" or literally tweeting "I love hispanics!" 

But u can't put all republicans in the same bag because u'd do what they do, u'll start putting people in categories something I always try to be aware of, I think we all do that but some of us are aware of that tendency and quickly stop because we remember oh, we're all human beings with the same emotions the same psyche, the same fears etc...  

I wonder how republican white males in particular could ever need to demand a 'right' in the US, they have all the power to make that successful if ever something happened to them 

I'm starting to wonder if privilege could be the cause of that thinking .. Ben Shapiro is a good example too. I always wonder, and it's such a mystery to me, why he's so angry about gay people having rights, you were born with money, the best schools, food on your table etc and yet he seems very very angry about LGBT community, muslims, black people etc, Why?  makes you wonder really...

It's strange with republicans, because the privileged are the white and rich and they are just hurting the average/poor white republicans as much as they are hurting the minorities, so it's just to be white and rich as a privileged and then you have the best life in the US, they don't care about their own people because they are "needy" or because they don't have millions in the bank, they just use them to stay and be in power..

It's like a a never ending circle of illogical sense..
