Was that confirmed?  And it made more in Japan than Germany, so not a wholesale flop, just less than we thought.  Maybe the movie would need to be censored so much for China that they didn’t bother/ plus her alleged ban from China.

And back to topic, no I don’t think Taylor is saving western pop music in China, she’s monopolizing it.

It doesn't work like that at all. China population usually don't buy albums, they stream. Biggest selling album sold like 2 million in total.

As far as I remember, I have no memory of Gaga being banned in China except from what the internet said. Which means it might have been short lived (although it is weird she doesn't come here)   Her music is available on big streaming services (Dope and JnD got removed from QQ for drug references tho ) but unlike Taylor's albums they usually have no problem with copyright so you don't need to purchase the album to listen to it. But Taylor's albums since 1989  (i believe) have required purchasing.
