No, I don't have any proof. Only patterns. But I have done some works in the PR area, working with marketing and brands. I do appreciate Taylor Swift as an artist. But you can't deny she is a very intelligent woman, she herself told that she is into marketing. I don't judge her, she's just playing the game of the industry and she only wins with that. Is that simple. She can do so much better without the whole PR situation. But every artist/celeb is into this game if they want to elevate their status. Just look at the fake relationship between Shawn and Camila or the whole Gaga/Bradley thing, it is so common.

We'll see how the next week goes. Because this is inexplicably huge sales for an album that had a very under-whelming roll-out with no massive hits on level with previous work. Her fans are out in full-force to ensure she gets that big debut and buying multiple copies but it won't have many legs if the public aren't as into it.

That's actually not true, my mom is a basic pop listener (whatever's on the radio) and she recently bought Lover after hearing the song Lover and she's enjoying it, same with my aunt and she's NO Swiftie

One family buying it on the strength of one single doesn't mean everyone's going to do it. As a matter of fact, it's worse if it's the public making up those first week numbers as well. That lessens the chance that it can be around for weeks if anyone who's even remotely interested gets it nigh on immediately.
