I am far from a Bey fan but I have listened to all of her discography just to give her a fair shot and I can't get into most of the new music. Putting “Daddy Lessons” right after a banger like “6 Inch” really kills the mood. I understand she was organizing it according to the story, but it still flows horribly. Beyoncé is a great album, and each song represents her well. The perfect self-titled album. Great flow, even the interludes have replay value and can stand alone as tracks. As a song Forward does sound like a filler but however I still think it’s important. It refers to her finally being able to move forward from Mr. Carter’s cheating. Also during the film, Forward is played and shows the black mothers/wives who now don’t have a son/husband due to police brutality which I find pretty powerful which made me like Forward I agree with Daddy Lessons, with 6 inch you feel like a baddie/heaux then BOOM, it’s YEE YEE TIME Lemonade is definitely something you have to listen through entirely while songs from Self Titled could stand alone imo.
