ARTPOP holds a special place in my heart. :diane:

But it's been more than a year that i don't listen to it as much and prefer to stream Joanne instead, which is my second fave but only cause it's very well produced :vegas:

They're tied as my favorite album(s) but I think Joanne is objectively the better collection of work.

ARTPOP :firega:

I haven't listened to Joanne in full since like 2017. The only ones I still listen to are PI and MR.

Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

ARTPOP is a mess of incoherent production and trashy EDM that's disguised as "artistic", the only people that actually believe the musical equivalent of white noise is anything "artistic" are people who have never heard good music I guess? But, did we expect anything from the people who still stan Gaga after she's made disappointment after disappointment?

  Reveal hidden contents

Before y'all get on my coattails for stanning Madge, I can admit that the only reason I stan Madge is for her old music and that everything she's made since 2008 is bad. The problem is people here think that something needs to be good to be enjoyed, and thus actively seek to find objectively good parts in albums where there is no such thing, and ARTPOP is just NOT a good body of work.

Or perhaps just let people enjoy the music they like? All art is subjective. There’s no such thing as an “objectively” better album or song, as it’s entirely rooted in opinion. You need to GTFO here with that pretentious rambling of yours and your arrogance is hugely off-putting and lacking in intellectuality.

I voted for ARTPOP tbh. But honestly it’s hard to pin them against each other.

They both have different sounds, concepts, themes, messages & lyrical contents.

And their flaws are there too though. I love how interesting, wacky, creative ARTPOP is but dislike the dated sound and some cheesy lyrics.

I love the personal concept of Joanne and the fresh sound but dislike half of the production because I find it kinda boring.

They’re in different realms y’all

ARTPOP had a very dated sound when it first came out so Joanne instantly has the leg-up in this comparison.

Aging isn't important to me when it comes to music lmao.

ARTPOP is STILL one of her best, Joanne on the other hand...

Even though ARTPOP isn’t her best album I still listen to some songs from time to time. As for Joanne last time I heard a song from the album was at my JWT date in January 2018:oops:
