I mean it's not just about the money, but like a lot of artists have had a hit and they still broke and don't even get opportunities to make themselves visible like that, she should be happy she got to bring attention to herself especially to those kids since they're the ones who stream the most and are the foundation stone of the industry instead she's alienating herself from them with these comments.

I don't think saying you don't want to play for a certain crowd is disrespectful, but if people think it is and turn away from her music, she wants to appeal to a different demographic anyway, so I still don't see why that's a problem... Again, financially she seems to be perfectly fine - with the right investments she could probably stop working rn altogether and live the rest of her life comfortably...

She wants to play sexy bops for the sexy kind of teenagers, not illegal kind - let here

I like Charli XCX. but I am no stan. She has some good songs and I actually really liked Sucker and Vroom Vroom. That being said, I had to take a break from her for a few years because I did not like her aesthetic and raunchy party songs and try hard singles (no offence but that song with David Guetta is a disgrace to her discography). It just did not click with me.

I get why she might see singing to 5 year olds as uncool but as people already mentioned, Taylor Swift has a very diverse audience at this point in her career. Taylor Swift has also never complained about singing to kids or said anything about her fans who are kids. She has always respected them and I think thats cool because it definitely paid off big time since her 5 year old fans from 2008 are the prime age right now in terms of buying concert tickets.

I understand artists have different strategies with how they want to market themselves but Charli XCX should expand her audience more. I feel like the public just doesn't care about her anymore as much as they used to. Even teenage gays do not care much for her. Her audience is mostly composed of people who have been listening to her since True Romance and she cultivates a really sexual image that turns a lot of people off. I am not saying I'm against it on a moral level or anything but its not my cup of tea and I would rather listen to the "childish" music from Taylor Swift because its not just about partying...

She obviously was overwhelmed by a stadium tour and a crowd of that size and is now finding excuses as to why she wasn’t that pleased with the experience. Yet the experience gave her exposure to thousands if not millions of new fans, especially when you consider she sang Shake It Off with Taylor on the Netflix filming of the tour. Like it's not Taylor's fault that you’re comfortable playing clubs only lol. You don’t see Camila (the other opening act) complaining yet she's newer than Charli (as a solo artist).
