hate crime...terrorism?

They won't call it terrorism

A violent act on a community to push an agenda (in this case an alt-right racist one) is no doubt terrorism.

The shooter is from Allen, TX. 600 miles away.

He drove specifically to a city where whites and Latinos live in harmony, are at the border, and are safe to do this.

Vile.

Terrorism^

the US will become a one party state with Democrats taking over.

We can only hope.

Waiting for the outrage from Republicans about "don't politicize their deaths!" as if directly after a shooting isn't the best time to discuss preventing the next one.

Everyone should boycott Walmart. The only way U.S. laws will change is if corporate profits and stock prices take a hit because only then do mass shootings affect the donor class.

I’d like to know the reasoning behind boycotting Walmart who was the target of the attack.

I would love to know what makes Trump supporters still want to stand behind him after all this. Obviously Trump is not directly responsible in all cases but he is a very important factor in this rising fight against terrorism. Even if they think he's a good president for America in other areas such as the economy, I just wish they would stop supporting him because the things he does and says is having horrible ripple effects across the world.

I wish I could say something useful but I’m just so sad I have no words. How can people hate others so much just because they’re different? :(

Thankfully my best friend responded, he's ok just shook. Overall though right now El Paso is a ghosttown, everyone is at home just waiting for further confirmation of being safe. Just a tragedy for a place I call home :(

Walmart as an institution was not the target of the attack (in principle it definitely could be, but afaik not in this case). Walmart customers were the target of the attack. Walmart execs, frankly, will do nothing to insure customer safety in light of this event unless it effects their pocket. If you don't feel safe going to a Walmart that sells guns and has an open carry policy after this, then we need to show them with our dollar.

I see. I don’t see people boycotting Walmart though. They really should stop selling guns though.

And the government is doing literally NOTHING to prevent those kinds of things.

Sure, let anyone own freaking guns, it's totally safe.
