When Trump tweets about infestation, it's about black and brown people

If someone claims they’re capable of understanding love and hate, then they would not be standing on the side of the hate,  they wouldn’t try to justify it and sometimes even spew it. 

 

Believing in the best in people, is a weird statement when it’s only about the racist demagogues, not their targets. Their targets are the worst, no matter what.

I've never heard of Victor Blackwell before but this clip really hit me hard. "Since the day I came home from the hospital" made me want to hug him. Oh, man, it must cause deep hurt for someone to insult your hometown like that. It's safe to say at this point that Trump's a total sociopath, if not worse. He has no concept of word choice, respectful criticism, constructive criticism, sensitivity, humility or empathy. Or even the ability to think before speaking. 2020 is coming sooner than I realised and let's hope it's enough time for any remaining supporters to wake up and for any would-be supporters to wise up.

Actually justifying anything with statistics is the only way to have a debate. 

However- trump should use better lingo when talking about things that aren’t actually lies. The place is infested with crime- not people. People are not an infestation. They are often victims of their surroundings. The local government of Baltimore should be ashamed of themselves. It is their responsibility to start moving things in the right direction. Concentrating on Trump and his moronic usage of the English language is only shifting attention away from what’s important: the people of Baltimore, and the corrupt local government.

True about trump- but the conversation has steered toward ONLY TRUMP- Baltimore needs to be apart of the conversation. How did things get so bad? What has local govt done to help fix this issue? What is the plan? The conversation needs to be about Baltimore and it’s local government taking accountability. People’s lives  are being effected or even taken.

You can address these issues while being respectful and sensitive about them. Resorting to insults only results in more anger among residents who are probably feeling more than enough anger at being in a bad living situation as it is. It's hard for anyone to react rationally when they're angry. There's nothing wrong with saying "this place has got problems, here's what I'm going to do about it," as a president should. But to use terminology that you'd use if you were a hygiene officer inspecting a restaurant is no way to deal with it.

It wasn’t up to debate that Trump is regularly using offensive and dehumanizing language when he’s on twitter attacking people of color, it’s a fact.

It’s naive to think he cares about the people of Baltimore when he says “no any human being would want to live there”. Did he offer any solution? How is he gonna help, as president of all Americans? 

Another hypocritical thing is, if anyone from “the squad” would say what he said, they’d be told to go back where they came from, how dare they attack an American city...

I don’t give a **** what you’re trying to debate. You’re debating about if trump is going to say something Asinine? Here is a news flash: HE WILL. No one said he gave a **** about Baltimore- and most likely doesn’t.

Again- the important part of this topic is being highly ignored by everyone. We only care about what moronic things trump is inevitably going to say. Only words he puts out in the world for the rest of the world to obsess over- yet not one person here is talking about the actual issue- Baltimore and it’s people. Why is no one outraged about the corruption of Baltimore? The horrible local government? The high crime rate- and lack of accountability of the local govt? No one is talking about the people of Baltimore- just obsessing over someone who ultimately will be gone in 5 years(hopefully sooner). Obsessing over someone who can’t really do anything about Baltimore and it’s people, is going to do NOTHING. 

Baltimore needs to be held accountable. It’s infested with crime- not people.

I was arguing with a person who tries to justify ugly repeated dehumanizing language, just like you are doing. This thread is about that. You are probably not affected by his offensive tweets, many minorities are and not just in the US, since he likes to give platform to even more open bigots. 

 

Maybe open own thread on how you can help people of Baltimore, go to protest, donate, expose the corruption, make people talk, do something, since you’re acting like you care so much. Excessive cursing is not helping your case.

- I do apologize for being rude to you. My stance is still the same. I do get Incredibly frustrated by seeing people like yourself do NOTHING but complain about someone who we already know everything about. He is a horrible leader. He is horrible and linguistics and incredibly embarrassing for most Americans(including myself). But constantly complaining about something that will not change- does nothing. We will vote home out eventually. We need to shift our focus to Baltimore and figure out why there is such a horrible combination of local govt/local accountability there. Trump can’t do much of anything there so we need to shift the focus the attention to the ones who can. People like you don’t understand that your negligence to the real source of the problems- does nothing for those people. 

And since you wanted to draw the attention to myself, i will speak for myself. I’m not from Baltimore, I don’t even visit there. But as a citizen of this country, I feel it is my duty to call attention to the corruption going on there- as well as Detroit, and even Chicago in some cases. I have done this in my local city for example: I’m from Charlotte and our issue over the past decade has been LGBT representation, and even crime issues there as well. I joined two organizations (Latin lgbt, and southern country lgbt) and we raised lots of money holding huge get together, local lgbt film showings, etc that raised lots of money for our local community to spread awareness and fix local issues- as well as get local people involved in voting anti-LGBT people out of our local govt. We took accountability for our representation, and our people. We have seen MAJOR improvements. Baltimore needs to do the same- from local govt all the way down to the people. 

Accountability is important. If we all took accountability about our issues and things we can actually do something about- then there will be changes. Or, you can sit back and complain about a moron I the white noise who literally can do nothing for Baltimore, and continue to do nothing.
