The ways Palestinians are injured and killed, their children tortured in prisons, their land taken - are not in any way more humane than what you are describing. You are just blindly supporting one side, which has the upper hand, which has the military and billions in support from another big military power. The side which can actually stop the settlements, stop the occupation, but they won’t.

I don't work with wrong numbers and I already said that this was a crime that should be punished. I still can, however, say I'm still pro-Israel because the minute these nation was formed it was under pressure by it's neighbours and Palestine was nearly always part of these operations. I empathize with every human killed in this scenario but claiming that Palestine is only a victim in this conflict just is grossly wrong.

I'm supporting the side which, in my opinion, deserves my support. I am German, a history student and have already encountered too many nazi attacks on Jews than I would've ever wanted. The least I can do is support the only refuge Jews have on this planet. They deserve their own country and if their neighbours try to kill them for whatever reason I will not stand there and be silent. The act that this thread discusses is gross and Israel should be called out for it but I will also call out anyone who sycophanitcally only supports Palestine because Israel dares to defend itself. I want a solution for both sides but if no one in the region wants to actively work for it I will choose the side of the people that were wronged enough by history.

I just remember all the microagressions we are so caught up with here in the west.  Yet we pay these long-suffering people no mind.  The atrocities committed by the israeli government makes all the sensitivity to antisemitism pale in comparison.

Israel is as much of a democracy as India and the US according to the Democracy index by The Economist. I do have to admit that their biggest known flaw are Civil Liberties but it's still miles better than everyone around them.

but what about millions of Palestinian refugees who don’t have right of return?? does your German guilt prevent you from seeing things more objectively? Palestinians are not responsible for what Nazi Germany did. Stop seeing them all as only Arabs, they have right of self determination like any other nation. Each Arab nation is not the same. Try seeing them first as humans who lived there (with middle eastern Jews), long before Israeli state was created, they were killed and expelled in Nakba, to make more space for the settlers and things only got worse. How can you still defend the fact, any Jewish convert from Europe can now move and settle there, while Palestinians stay forever refugees and others are living in open air prison?
