RAMROD 117,080 Posted July 14, 2019 Share Posted July 14, 2019 Ukraine's parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, has adopted a law allowing the forcible chemical castration of pedophiles. The law was passed on July 11 and will come into force a day after being published in the state-run media. Chemical castration does not involve surgery. It consists of injected drugs that effectively blunt the sex drive for a period of time. The procedure will not be performed on individuals younger than 18 and older than 65. Along with forced chemical castration, the new law also envisions up to 15 years in prison for raping minors and up to five years in prison for lurid acts involving minors. Forced chemical castration of pedophiles is legal in many countries, including Britain, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Israel, Kazakhstan, Norway, Sweden, and the United States. If the rapist isn't allowed to do what they want with someone's body then why is okay for the state do it? People can learn to change for the better if you handle it well. Of course that's no guarantee that they won't slip up again but it's more fair. The convicts may need to report for another shot of it when the due is near. Not too sure how that work. This law only provides chemical castration, so there will be no positive result, in my opinion. Also, you should know that President of Ukraine must approve this law with his signature. The problem with things like this is that it's akin to torture and in most instances you can't take it back. What if someone was wrongly accused? What if someone was framed?
