vinster13 3,574
It’s no secret G.U.Y. flopped to oblivion, but if a different song had been released, could the era have been saved? as much as I want to say Venus, - mainly because it deserved a KILLER video - I think MANiCURE, Sexxx Dreams, or MJH would have been good contenders what are you’re thought? Enzo 37,977
I don't think the album could've been saved 툭 까보면 어김없이 소리질러와

Cloudbusting 1,548
Gypsy is so gooddddddd I would love for it to be a single!
TheRealJT 2,291
The third single didn’t matter at that point. Every song would of flopped. The second single was the problem
Michael78 890
the problem was not the songs, was the people who hold their bias against gaga. And Jewels N' Drugs could take the crown I would say

Craven Moorecox 2,806
G.U.Y. only flopped because of the circumstances it was released under. DWUW was released in October with no music video. By the time G.U.Y. dropped in the end of March, the album had no more momentum. Plus she didn’t promote it.... any song was doomed to flop
Savage 1,783
Gypsy released earlier than March as the third single would’ve been the most successful of the era. Still love G.U.Y. so much tho, one of my Top 5 Gaga songs. It only gets hate from this fanbase because of its chart placement.
Madame Goo Goo 3,861
Literally none. The era was dead as soon as Applause and Do What U Want hype died down because the public was sick of Lady Gaga and Lady Gaga was sick of herself. That being said, Venus Lady Gaga doesn't owe us anything
Jadeykins 1,418
my opinion! 1. original version of sex dreams released as the first single it would have started of the era in a better way.... 2. do what u want as second single featuring christina or without a feature....no disturbing video or r.kelly mess 3. applause as the third single...the video is perfect already 4.then have aura as the fourth single as the conclusion of the paparazzi, telephone story with an epic video and her murdering beyonce like it implies (i killed my former and locked her in the trunk) but if we could only change the third single i'd go with aura and what i said on number 4 xx
DC 25,164
Gypsy would've been the better promotional single and Venus would've made the best third single
RochestrMonstr 3,203
That era was doomed long before the third single materialized. It didn’t matter what song it was.
LilyLark 10,104
Gypsy would have been a great single, but the term is offensive outside of the US (and nowadays is starting to be considered offensive in the US). But the whole era was already kind of doomed even before SXSW and R. Kelly. People love to knock someone when they are on a pedestal or the very top of their game, especially women, and that was Gaga...plus she gave them material to knock her down with, too.
