But Gaga herself always gives writing credits to people who just change a few words, so I think its pretty common in the music industry. She never claimed to be the main writer of the song, and lyrically-wise the only lyric she probably wrote was "til' you're at the end of your rope" which is more than enough to give her credit for songwriting, whether Linda Perry and some little monstrosities like it or not. Also, considering the demo sent to Linda Perry was originally sung by Diane Warren, the song was probably completely different melodically speaking. Do you all really think Diane Warren was hitting the notes Gaga hits in the final version? With such a hard note at the end of the bridge? Obviously not, because that was probably Gaga's addition. So, not only she wrote a lyric, she also made it her own style, and because of that, she deserves writing credits.
