It's not ending there, those dudes when they saw her literally went running to her to make that pic without her knowing

Well, she has fans do that all the time, no? :air: Why is this suddenly a bad thing? She came to that club dressed as an undoubtedly Lady Gaga looking Lady Gaga. I don't blame those fans for trying to take a picture. The only thing they didn't realize, of course, is that they'd set her up with these neverending rumors for years :rip:

It's that nutty person who took that photo of the two guys who were at a dirty party (or took advantage of a dirty party to do bl*ckface) to somehow insinuate Gaga was doing it even tho in the pic she's clearly not and made up all those wild stories.

But like I said, that wasn't blackface :oprah: That was a visual reference to gay scat sex. The media just spun it as blackface because they didn't know the context.

The real story might sound fake to some but it's easily backed up by Googling that club and its reputation. Why can't we just guide people to the facts and let this mess debunk itself?

No, she means it is literally the same exact individual who starts making sh*t up about the photo with the two guys. Other people pick up on it, but it's one specific person who writes posts, creates petitions, etc. If you've been in the fandom long enough, he's used the same name (he changes it up occasionally) but he writes word for word the same outlandish claims. It's wild cause the photo, even if she's not doing it, looks bad enough even if it was a dirty party but he tries to make it worse.

We can't really tell based on one picture. And I didn't say they were fans, just that they behave the same way fans do: there's Lady Gaga, we have to get a picture with her *run over to her and take a picture without asking*

I don't think they did anything wrong and if they did, most of her fans should be called out too whenever she steps outside her hotel :emma:

Like I said she doesn't feel comfortable at all with them and unlike some other fans, they seem problematic

This pic relaunched  polemics all over the world along the years...

So I guess the whole world is "gross, dirty and rude" lmao.

Yeah I don't get why they are dragging the French lol. Frankly, as an American with immigrant parents who has traveled all over the world I'd take the French over most Americans any day of the week.

But is painting yourself in brown a way to show yourself as a scat lover in this club?

I remember googling that years ago and not finding proof that it actually was an habit there. :D  As long as it will not be proved as a habit of the place people will doubt it was a scat reference, even if it's a famous place for scat.

Oh thank you! I don't know Americans but they seem to be quite different according to where they live precisely. But it's not very surprising seing how big it is. ^^

Well most of the time people who hate french folks do so cause they consider we're socialist or communist/ are still mad we didn't follow them for the war in Irak/ are mad cause we're rarely  Trump fans over here or stuffs like that lmao. :D

It's not a habit to paint yourself brown but given the reputation of the club it's a far better and more logical explanation than the blackface rumors :rip: If it was blackface there would be other details present. And what could possibly be the moviation for doing blackface in that context? :oprah:

It's a very raunchy gay club that regularly has like mud wrestling events, BDSM theme events, furry theme events, and scat themed parties. Don't ask how I know lol—I've never been but I know people who went when they lived in Berlin.

I think it's possible those two men took advantage of the theme to "get away" with doing brownface (they could deny it if they were called out by pretending they were just doing the theme) or they could have legitimately not realized what it looked like. Either way it is dumb and offensive, although the former is obviously worse than the latter. The one thing that points them not intending to do blackface is that it is clearly brown, it doesn't cover the two men's entire faces, and they are wearing colorful straight haired wigs and party outfits—which is not how idiots doing blackface/brownface usually do it. Racist morons who do brownface/blackface often wear a costume of a famous person, do their hair to mimic "Black" styles, have the make up be black and not brown and evenly applied and covering their entire face, etc.

It was still stupid of Gaga to pose with them regardless of their intentions, but that pic (and I also remember when it was widely covered) always annoyed me because some of the headlines tried to make it sound like Gaga was guilty when she was not and it was just the two men. Like I said, there's a big difference between doing something sh*tty and posing near two people in a group doing something sh*tty.
