Sorry I don't quite understand how the performances make him a flight risk; could you please explain? He was only supposed to be in Sweden for a few days and then travel to other countries around Europe to perform at other concerts. As such, he has no ties to Sweden, and no incentive to stay in Sweden until the court date in August. The courts see this as a risk of him leaving the country. There is only his word that he would not leave Sweden until the court date in August. Whereas there is evidence that is scheduled to perform in other European countries. As such, the courts think he will not stay in Sweden but instead leave for other European countries. Hence, why they are keeping him in jail. I think this has something to do with the case of Julian Assange. Julian Assange fled Sweden when the police wanted to question him about allegations of rape. Julian Assange then famously entered the Ecuadorian embassy in London, and Sweden tried for 7 years to get him extradited. I know it's not the same case as Assange but the extradition part is what can become messy between countries. Say ASAP Rocky did leave Sweden when he's out on bail, then Sweden would have to issue a red notice, which INTERPOL cannot enforce countries to follow. So basically ASAP Rocky could try and hideout in another country that do not want to extradite to Sweden. https://www.interpol.int/How-we-work/Notices/Red-Notices Roman Polanski is also a well known case of someone hiding from extradition. https://www.theguardian.com/film/2018/jan/30/hollywood-reverence-child-rapist-roman-polanski-convicted-40-years-on-run

Thanks for the explanation! God it would be a mess if they issued him a red notice. Although I doubt Rocky will try to leave the country, I imagine he’ll postpone the tour dates instead.
