Is Sarah really as bad as people say she is, and if so, why?

People's idea of a "good" makeup here seems to be "original", "crazy", "unconventional". It's not what it is. She's technically good, I can't recall a time where Gaga's makeup was particularly badly done and looking unprofessional. Remember during The Fame, it just looked like she did her own makeup and didn't have a makeup artist to do it. People calling the Oscars' makeup "bad" just because it's simple is

I've always loved and been amazed by Sarah's talent. I think in reality, no matter who does Gaga's makeup someone will inevitably have an opinion, positive or negative, on it. As long as Sarah makes Gaga feel happy and beautiful, that's all that matters.

I dont know anything about make-up but I think she always looks good. Only thing that bothers me sometimes are the fish lips but that’s also due to fillers

Yes gaga likes to look like a "clown" that's her thing lmao.. she can be very Kardashian and basic also wenever SHE feels like it (not Sarah).

Yeah as a 2008 onwards fan it still bothers me a lot, but maybe for the new fans its not an issue since they are used to seeing her like that... I still miss her cute round face and old lips.

The only thing I personally would nit-pick is over-contouring Gaga's forehead. Contouring the upper forehead makes it appear smaller, and Gaga's forehead is already quite small in proportion to her lower face. She just looks better without it imo. No woman wants to have a 3-head...

wait...so people drag Sarah's makeup pretty much just because it isn't out there or crazy and is just somewhat straightforward? Why would anyone think that she can control that?  If Gaga wants to be NormGa, that's her decision and Sarah's gotta play along. If she wants MetGa Sarah's gotta do that. She's hired to do a thing and collaborate to make it happen not force makeup against Gaga's will lol

She’s not the worst she’s definitely second or third best with Billy B and/or Val Garland first and second switchable because they’re both so good.

She gave Gaga something that she never really used to use before and that was contouring which really excels Gaga’s beauty more now she’s got a balance with how much filler she likes from Epione. Sarah often likes Gaga to have a rockstar edge to her but her peak of makeup artistry is probably either JWT or AHS Hotel. 

Most of Gaga’s looks from mid 2015-mid 2016 and then some of the bts JWT pics from Instagram looked sickening too.

Also, we have to remember she’s being judged as a PROFESSIONAL by stans who often don’t know much about makeup, have no interest in makeup OR have learned makeup from YouTube when influencer makeup vs actual makeup artistry is different. And sometimes it’s just not to people’s taste when they do know about makeup so it’s entirely subjective.

Overall she makes Gaga feel and look beautiful and how she feels so I’m haply she’s happy because that’s what makeup should be about; making someone feel he beauty they possess already and Sarah knows how to give Gaga that.

I was watching her portfolio a couple days ago, and she can do some really amazing looks, maybe it’s Gaga that asks for certain looks? Or maybe it’s timing that doesn’t contributes to the execution?

Sarah has a signature look, and she does it well.

Take a look at this video, Sarah clearly knows what she’s doing, and what she’s talking about, she has an EMMY for her work

No and I really wish people would stop dragging her as if any Little Monster could do better makeup.
