You guys oppose trump, but you have the same trait with him: total disregard for the truth. Truth doesn't matter.

If something sounds great and fits your narrative, you don't care if it's substantiated or not, you take it for a fact.

I would like to see any proof that these are actual border patrol agents. If a journalist had access to this group, why not actually show the profiles and names, so that those accounts can be verified?

Here you go again.... Making a fool out of yourself. The boarder patrol authorities confirmed the Facebook group and said that they didn't know it existed. Which they lied cause they knew about it for three years and AOC called them out for their lies on Twitter. Do some research geez.

As somebody who has lived and grown up by the border for years, I don't doubt this that much. I've met some decent BP Officers, but it's important to acknowledge that systemically, much of their actions have been inhumane to the eyes of the people in this area watching.

3 points in and ready for more

Yes, and there is an ongoing investigation on the matter. BP knew about the group 3 years ago.

The way people elevate law enforcement to the level of gods who can no wrong is sickening.

Ignore her, she drinks.

These are the same people who have a FB group where they laugh at migrant deaths. I’d say this isn’t hard to believe.

OT: Shame on CNN for trashing people who actually protect America with zero evidence, but I'm not surprised.

* patiently waiting for someone to post proof here that these are actual border agents *

You guys said there's proof. Can you all please post it? I'll apologize if you post actual proof.

An ongoing investigation into something doesn't mean it's proof of its veracity LOL

I mean that's the point of investigating something, to see if it's true or not

From Politico:

Customs and Border Protection officials have been aware for up to three years that a secret Facebook group for current and former Border Patrol agents was posting offensive messages — far longer than previously reported.

Border Patrol leadership knew about photos posted to the group as far back as 2016, when agents reported them, according to a current Homeland Security official. The images — several of which were provided to POLITICO — show agents engaging in conduct that includes simulating sex acts and taking selfies while defecating. A former DHS official said he was aware of the Facebook group during the past year.

Top Homeland Security Department officials, including acting DHS Secretary Kevin McAleenan and Border Patrol Chief Carla Provost, denounced those posts this week and pledged to hold any culpable agents accountable.

“Reporting this week highlighted disturbing & inexcusable social media activity that allegedly includes active Border Patrol personnel,” McAleenan wrote. “These statements are completely unacceptable, especially if made by those sworn to uphold the @DHSgov mission, our values & standards of conduct.”

The DHS inspector general’s office — the department’s internal watchdog — has launched an investigation into the recent Facebook posts, officials said Tuesday.

Lmao. This is exactly why people become border patrol agents/police officers.

My ex was in the military and wanted to join the police force: he also said all Arabic/middle eastern looking people need to get out of Canada (my ex wasn’t even from Canada himself, he was from the UK)

An ex-friend was an airport security officer. He openly told me he knows he’s racist, and if he could deny people of color (Indians, blacks, aboriginals, etc), he would.

Then, another guy I saw for like 2 weeks was an RCMP officer. He said that he would easily shoot any brown colored person (ive never ended a relationship so fast like this one)

Lastly, the mentality of people joining areas of justice, such as border patrol, policing, security, etc; are all out there to ‘protect’ what they think is of value. In this case, the value at stake is white-English speaking USA, and their so called “freedom”.

I mean, I could provide infinite examples of how people who work in these areas display acts of casual racism on a daily basis, but this article should suffice: https://www.google.ie/amp/s/www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/police-officers-nationwide-alleged-racist-violent-social-media-posts-plain-view-project-2019-06-07/

Basically, thousands of law enforcement officers (in Dallas, Texas alone) Facebook posts have been flagged for containing hate speech like content.

I love the way you phrased it: Lastly, the mentality of people joining areas of justice, such as border patrol, policing, security, etc; are all out there to ‘protect’ what they think is of value. In this case, the value at stake is white-English speaking USA, and their so called “freedom”.

This kind of mentality is the reason why we have minorities at the borders and within the borders disrespected, injured and killed by officers. Why do we have Pride? Why do we have BLM? Why do we have protests against ICE?

And it's not just the ground officers. People higher up in the institutions who command the foot men are just as guilty.

I fell down the stairs once as an actor.

Is there any proof that supports the claim that those FB group members are actual agents?

If tomorrow I want to demonize certain people, I can start a FB page and pretend I'm those people and say horrible things then leak it to the press.

Let's be real here. Unless these agents are extremely dumb, they wouldn't be giving cause for their termination in a facebook page like that.

LMAOOOOOOOOOOO

Notice the use of "if"

It means they are unsure whether there are actual agents behind these posts.

And for the MILLIONTH time, opening an investigation into something doesn't suddenly become proof of its veracity.

The IRS can put you under audit tomorrow and open an investigation into your revenues, and it won't mean that you're guilty of tax fraud just because they opened an investigation lol

Lmao

The ridiculousness in this post is beyond belief...

You know what hasty generalization means? Exactly what you're doing; because one friend that I had in the police was racisst, thus law enforcement people are racist.

This is B.S. Law Enforcement is a job like any other job.And actually you're subjected to more scrutiny, and the job as a whole is a lot more stessful than the other jobs. Many law enforcement officers died while protecting communities. I guess those don't fit your narrative right? They must've chosen to become cops to "suppress minorities"?

I'm really worried about the future, when people like you have these crazy conspiracy theories.

What's your solution? We get rid of law enforcement agencies right? Because apparently most people joining them are racist people according to you. Let's see how safe the U.S will become when we do that.
