Haus Beauty isn't...

Meant to be like other beauty brands.

Lady Gaga is loved for her honesty, individuality and her attitude - she is *not* going to release a conventionally 'beautiful' makeup line that promotes conformity, perfection and unattainable, toxic interpretations of body image.

Remember, Gaga is an artist with a perspective on the world. And I expect this line to be an extension of her perspective and creativity. And, as such, Haus Beauty will likely have a focus on inner-beauty, self-expression and self-confidence... not on visual conformity and 'perfection'.

For the fans who are dragging the 'untouched' photos and the 'imperfections' in the leaked images - ask yourself, who do you stan? Is it Kylie Jenner, or is it Lady Gaga?

Because with the latter, I am thankful to - hopefully, if today is any indicator of the final product - finally see a beauty line on the market that is different and unafraid to be honest and raw in it's depiction of makeup and beauty.

Gaga is going to approach makeup as an art-form and a creative expresser... she is not about to put her name to a brand that only further adds to the insecurities of her fans and young people.

Make-up is key to Gaga's existence, and key to how she communicates - visually - her difference and her defiance. She has spoken at length about how she feels strong when she is defying beauty standards - and she now, through Haus Beauty, wants to give her fans (and others) an opportunity to do the same.

'Battle for your life...' - be strong, feel confident, and love yourself as you fight for your individuality - don't hide it in conformity.

I don't mind the untouched skin but the eye make up does look sloppy. But why are we wasting our time discussing some images that are not even officially released? lol We don't even know if they're even gonna be used.

Thank you!!! My thoughts exactly!

The untouched photos, natural skin- it inspired me. My skin is not really good and I look at these pics and think "Hm maybe this eyeshadow can accentuate my eyes and I will look amazing even without a foundation"

Even if it is meant to be like all the other beauty projects, I just don't get the drama. There's nothing wrong with being a good businesswoman and diversifying her brand, especially as it looks like the backers approached her first. There's no reason she can't do the music and the bling and unless she hardcore tries to force it on the fans, people need to relax—don't like, don't buy. If it succeeds, great, if it flops, well tons of celebs have flopped doing similar ventures. And it looks diverse, which was my one concern even though I figured Gaga would be smart enough to include plenty of diversity.

It's not like she's pushing shapware or skinny tea, ffs. In the immortal words of Missy Elliott: ain't no shame/ladies do your thing/just make sure your ahead of the game.

The untouched aspect is awesome. Does not excuse the makeup work though.

I think it'll be people who do not fit into the 'beauty stereotype', but still enjoy makeup in a more expressive and creative way... not as a means of just 'looking like Kylie Jenner'.

REALITY

If anyone should release a makeup line, and if anyone should do it right, it's Gaga. I'm not worried about the photos because in the end, I'm sure they'll look great.

Hasn't Rihanna already got them though? I don't think there's enough of those people in the world to make this an extensive project, but we'll see
