I used to be a K-Pop hater/basher, but now, I don't love it or hate it, I just acknowledge and respect that it exists. 

as a not kpop listener, I only loved 2NE1  because they are the only group who gave me "not 100% K-POP ish " vibes. And they got Sandara Park, she started her career here in the Philippines and can still speak fluent Filipino language woohoo

But the others are like copy of another copy of another copy of kpop groups (same formula, nothing new). There, I said it.  don't worry i am entitled to my (even wrong) opinions

K-Pop isn't a genre. Their genre are pretty much western music with Korean lyrics, hence Korean pop. And some people are into that which is great. Especially when they are also learning Korean, music and movies are the best way to learn how the locals speak their language before they can proceed to actually talk with locals themselves.

I find most people who enjoy more music than just English language ones are way smarter and do speak multilingual that those who doesn't. It can be Korean, Japanese, French, German, anything.

They have some catchy stuff but KPop is the definition of manufactured. KPop artists are also exploited by their labels. It’s a pretty shitty industry if you ask me. Their fans are also the worst thing ever.

lol I love the fact that this thread managed to root out the jerks on here. Just bc their sound isn't your cup of tea doesn't mean it's trash. And Kpop is pretty diverse just like Pop is. Don't go spewing ignorant things when you probably listened to like one song and then generalize the whole genre. I'm pretty sure there's people in the world who think Gaga's music is trash. To summarize = music is subjective so stop acting like your musical tastes are something to brag about.

Sorry but I adore asian countries and cultures I used to watch anime and read mangas also still Gihbli stüdios are my favorite and someday in the future I want to live in Korea honey but I didnt say anything about county, but that music no one can say is artistic or organic and original.

Kpop basically takes influence from western music, but the only difference is LANGUAGE. Lol people really do hate what they don't understand.

This is all coming from a former "hater" of kpop. Lmao i was converted a month ago. The key to listening is to not mind the lyrics at all and just feel the rhythm and melody, if that makes sense  Some lyrics are actually cringy at first listen but a lot of american pop lyrics are cringy too, like A LOT.

Remember, it's also pop music and is mostly very manufactured. You can't expect deep lyrics all the time. You just have to enjoy it as it is.
