Eighteen 5,430 Posted July 2, 2019 Share Posted July 2, 2019 i'm rather skeptical of it all. a part of me thinks this is just an empty optics gesture with absolutely no substance behind it. the north koreans will not give up their nuclear arms and the USA will not lift sanctions unless they do so. but i am also very much for trying anything diplomatically, so maybe this unusual step will somehow show some good faith, foster some kind of trust, and something will come out of it. fingers crossed!
