I read this as Gaga's career and the Scooter chaos.

It's actually my favorite Gaga album. But yeah, I think people were not expecting Elton John meets Robyn meets Bruce Springsteen and that's what kind of started her "downfall," despite the massive success of the album in terms of sales, although a downfall didn't fully happen until ARTPOP.

OP is right though that even Gaga's "flop" eras aren't flops.

I love it, it battles to be favorite alongside The Fame Monster but idk I think The Fame Monster just means too much to me both in the many experiences ive had with that album as well as just it having been released in the fall of 2009 and where i was at in my young life then and how that makes me feel nostalgically everytime I listen to it or see the visuals.

Well I can say she definitely would be in a different position today if she'd never released the Born This Way album.  Same way she might've been hit by a bus if she'd left her apartment 2 minutes earlier one day

Do you feel him sir?

I think Gaga's career is a really perfect example of pop-culture chaos - with each direction of her career having clear, yet sometimes unexpected, consequences...  just like the butterfly creating the storm. This is why I think that LG6 will be some kind of commentary on this - on how Gaga has constantly evolved through braving the storm of scrutiny and industry control.

It totally was the start of the backlash. Because back then being gay or supporting the lgbtq was not cool like it is now. She decided to stand for something and it did hurt her career, but that shows she has integrity. And in the long run she helped cause a cultural shift and her career rebounded and now she is respected for her activism.
