The Child

Hypothetical question: What happens if George is really gay? Would they have a gay royal wedding? Would his husband also become a King? What about children? An heir to the throne? Whose egg are they gonna use? This woman could cause problems for the Royal family if she claims George's Child belongs to her. What about his husband child? Would they get titles like prince and princess given that they are not blood related to George and by extension the throne?

Calm down lol. You should study history. He would be probably advised to not have any children and his sibling or his cousin will inherit the throne.

There’s this guy on Instagram who lightheartedly makes satire posts about George being flamboyant. I think it’s funny and harmless tbh.

But that’s exactly what I’m saying.  Everyone assumes a child is straight.  Why do you think people have to come out of the closet? Because society has assumed everyone is straight unless they say otherwise .  I maybe didn’t make it clear in my first post but children are sexualized all the time, usually as hetero rather than homo.

That's not what I was saying.

You can't just say "oh everyone assumes a child is straight, so why are you upset that people are assuming is gay". Being straight is  not exactly like being gay in our society. That's really irresponsible of you to hold children to that standard. I'm pretty sure the 12 year old you wouldn't want the public to assume you're gay, before you decide yourself whether to come out or not.

Being straight has no downsides in our society, whereas being gay exposes people to discrimination and other hurdles, which is why it's more delicate, and people are sometimes not ready to face that yet. It's not like being straight. Equating the two is just wishful and delusional thinking that's detached from reality.

Let people have their own lives and decide for themselves when to come out, when they're actually ready to deal with whatever downsides it'll come with, and become self confident enough to defend themselves in society.

There is a difference between satire about adults and satire about 5 year olds...

People getting butthurt over saying a 5 year is gay? That would not be the case if some said he is straight, lol.

They had no issue jacking off to underage Shawn Mendes 🤔

Is this what they call pinkwashing?

I don't think so. If we're going to label all these statements as "pinkwashing", we will never accept any progressive support from anyone. Such words coming from the future King are welcomed.

And what does he have to "sell"? His claim to the throne (lol)? His popularity? He's already quite popular, already perceived as a modern figure. I don't think a pinkwashing strategy is in his mind, it wasn't really needed at this point. He's not convincing LGBT people of anything tbh. He's h expressing his feelings towards the issue.

Listening to his words, he sounds quite aware. His focus was not "LGBT support" as much as it was "concern for how the world will accept my children". It was a realistic statement, and that is why I hope his concerns turns into actions as well.

So, pinkwashing.
