Even if we find a planet simmilar enough to earth to be survivable it will probably still be less hospitable for humans than an altered earth tbh

Earth has a good 500 million-1 billion years before the Sun gets hot enough (and massive enough) to boil away the oceans. Not sure we want to be around for that  Mars would be our best option at that point but even then, it has a "small" window of natural habitability itself before the Sun cooks it too...if it doesn't freeze again first due to it's itty bitty size...

When humanity leaves Earth we had better be able to sustain a colony in an artificial environment like the people in Wall-e

Otherwise it's bye bye humanity. I hope we make it though and that our species (or what it becomes) is around to see the last black holes evaporate

OT: crazy how I get fired if I don't do my job but people applaud these clowns for running away from the responsibilities that "earn" them a six+ figure salary.

Can we just pass it into law that any elected official that doesn't want to vote on a piece of legislation is automatically removed from office?
