Vegas>World Tours, for fans.

Listen guys, I go to WAY too many concerts, and I travel a lot for them. I've done everything from drive a few hours away to the next big city after mine to flying thousands of miles. I've stayed in world class hotel suites and also slept in airports. Vegas is just such a better experience for fans than tours are for a number of reasons.

1: Convenience

Spoiler

You fly into an airport that's a max of 15-20 minutes away from your hotel's check in distance, and once you're on the Vegas strip you have everything you could ever want in walking distance, including the Park MGM where Enigma is for most of the major Vegas hotels.

2: Small Venues MADE for pop concerts

Spoiler

You don't need to line up for GA until a few hours before, and when you do, the staff at the Vegas venues are honestly so nice because unlike sporting arenas, these places are built and staffed for concerts. At my last Gaga show they were even handing out free wristbands to get into the afterparty. When you get in the venue, it's such a more intimate setting. The worst tickets at Enigma are closer than mid-priced tickets would be at an arena. GA is set up to be much closer too. I literally saw her labia during Aura  :air:

3: NIGHTLIFE

Spoiler

This is more personal but after a late concert, I can't just go home and sleep. I need to consciously wind down for a few hours before I can even attempt to. All 3 of the major Vegas residency locations have all kinds of 24/7 shopping, food, partying, gambling, and everything else you would normally not do at midnight. If you want to go get some tacos and awkwardly chat with your short friend after a night of drinking and gaga'ing, you can totally do that.

4: Most people need to travel at least a little for world tours anyway.

Spoiler

Unless you live 20 minutes from the specific arena in your city that Gaga comes to, you're gonna be stuck in a car for a while, or maybe on a plane if she's only coming to the next state/country over. Vegas is certainly a longer travel, but you're getting a much more luxurious experience than just an arena concert.

5: It's literally a world class vacation hub

Spoiler

No matter what tax bracket you belong to, Vegas has attractions that appeal to you. You can shop at Hermes or Old Navy without leaving the Las Vegas Strip, there's food and entertainment that's an amazing value in every budget too. Including the best restaurant in America.(and the best skinny italian mommy from new york who's been singing jazz in a room of 100 people since she was 13 :hor: )Vegas certainly takes more planning, but it elevates what would just be another Gaga concert into an entire getaway. It's so much fun. For the number of times I've been shoved by Gaga crowds or hassled by event security at Gaga tours, nothing like that happens in Vegas, and everything else going on in Vegas elevates it further into something that feels once-in-a-lifetime no matter how many times you've actually done it. It takes more planning and more money than a regular concert, but you also get a lot more for that money and effort.

6: TWO DIFFERENT GAGA SHOWS IN ONE WEEKEND

Spoiler

This one explains itself. Gaga coming out on a death robot while stuck in a simulation one night and then doing a full Jazz set the next is a dream come true for a lot of us in this fanbase. Wouldn't be logistically possible on tour. Too many different set pieces and 2 whole separate groups of performers for the different shows.

Not everybody can afford Vegas, but enough people can that the tickets sold out instantly and resell for several times their actual price. She's an entertainer, not a charity. The fact that the tickets weren't $800 to begin with when there's all sorts of money/business people on her team who would have calculated how much she can charge proves she wanted this to be accessible to Little Monsters.  I'm planning another trip to Vegas for after her hiatus for Enigma and Madame X as I write this.:classy:

The flights are over a grand alone so i'd prefer to pay 50 quid and travel 45 minutes than pay 3 grand in total. It's just not realistic for me unfortunately, prioritise and all.

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

I mean the whole residency is sold out with several shows a week so unless madonnanation is buying tickets, I'd say it's a pretty sweet deal for fans. :sis:

I mean, for your specific self who "goes to WAY too many concerts" I get that it looks more convenient but for any regular fan it surely is not more convenient, especially if they don't live in/near the US.

Also, everything you list isn't even really related to Gaga lol. If you like going out after a show or shopping the next day etc., great, but I know I don't give a **** about that myself, so nah.

It adds up to making the weekend much more special than if it was just a quick lil tour stop, imo

Concerts should be made for people who actually go to concerts anyway :air:

I would not say it's the best for fans at all. Living in Sweden I would have to buy tickets for airfare (which also is super bad for the environment), hotel costs for number of days and I would not be able to work for at least 3 days which is damaging to my work. What you're saying is bull.

But I mean plenty of fans can afford it and she's making the same amount of money while giving fans a better experience

There are so many valid and understandable reasons why Gaga is staying in Vegas, but "better for fans" is not one of them:laughga:

Its weird, I get why people hate the residency and it is inconvenient in some ways but I do agree that going to Vegas is a great experience. We went for Britney a few years back and loved it. It was the best weekend of my life.

I wanna go to Vegas in 2020. I just don’t wanna get tickets until LG6 has a release date so that when I go it can feel like a tour for the album and not a greatest hits show.

I didn't go to Piece Of Me until the tour in NYC cause it lined up with my travel plans and I regret not making a Vegas trip out of it:giveup:

but the thing is most can't. I don't think you understand how expensive Enigma is to people outside the US. Tickets, flights, taxis, living expenses etc. can all easily add up to 1500+ dollars. And that doesn't include money spent on bars, casinos, gifts, restaurants etc. Also you have to consider that many people go to school/work and can't just take a 2+ days vacation whenever they want. To me, and the vast majority of fans outside the US a tour date in our country is way way cheaper and more accessible.
