I was all on the Beto wagon when it was Beto VS Cruz, but I don't trust him at all in the White House. What has he done to help people? I feel like his whole campaign is "me me me." I would take him over Biden, though.

Yeah I agree. He's been disappointing.

But def. him over Biden :rip:

Definitely. Against Cruz I was 1000% Beto, but I just don't see him as White House material at all.

Texas is traditionally a conservative strong hold...it sounds funny to read about a liberal from that state

Well, in the major cities most people are liberal.

Austin is a liberal mecca.

Voter turnout is very low in Texas but there’s more Democrats in the state than people think.

My predictions: Warren will wipe the floor with the rest on Night 1.

On Night 2 it will be Sanders, Biden, Harris, and Buttigieg.... I can't wait for the bloodbath omg

I think everyone’s gonna go in on Biden tbh. I don’t see Sanders and Harris attacking each other this early. It’s simply best for all in involved to destroy Biden.

I feel like they’ll come for Biden and Sanders. Many Democrats can’t wait to see Sanders in shambles.

Yeah, what hateful people. I’d be surprised if they went too hard on Sanders tho since it seems they all want his voters. I mean look at the list:

- Former Vice President Joe Biden

Yeah, he’s gonna go all in on Sanders

- Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders

He obviously won’t hit Sanders

- South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg

i think Buttigieg will probs avoid hitting Sanders both because he wants progressive votes but also because he’s been a long time admirer of Sanders

- California Sen. Kamala Harris

Shes one of the few who have stuck by Sanders completely on Medicare For All, so I think it’s likely she’ll hitting him for now

- New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand

she might hit Sanders but eh, I just don’t see it

Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet

yeah, He’ll hit Sanders

- Author Marianne Williamson

She’s a progressive upstarter so she might hit him on reparations but I think she’ll probs just end up hitting everyone on that

- California Rep. Eric Swalwell

Don’t know enough

- Businessman Andrew Yang

he won’t hit Sanders, they come from the same progressive base camp. That’d do nothing for him at this point but make him untenable to Sanders die hards

Former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper

- yeah, he will go after Sanders but I think it’s also just as possible that he will go after Biden instead as Biden is the clear moderate pick so far

Overall, I think the progressives have less to gain from hitting Sanders then Biden and I think the same is true for the moderates. So in my view, I don’t expect Sanders to get to much hate yet. Especially since despite him being hated by many in the party establishment, I don’t think he is hated by most of the people on the stage with him.

This is true. But I also feel the moderators will bring up Sanders’ comments on Fidel Castro. The debate is in Miami and they did the same in 2016. That’s a major weakness I see them coming after nnnn

That’s a good point but they can only do so much imo, like how many gotcha about Sanders can they really ask? Tho the Castro will def be awkward.

One issue, is that by picking on Sanders this time, they’ll also be picking on others who have largely adopted his platform. They can’t make the radical case as well as last time,

Im not saying it’ll be a cake walk but I wouldn’t too scared... for now. I do agree with u that the future could get worse

Honestly I just can’t wait for most of these people to drop out. It’s not realistic to have so many people who probably only want a book deal after.

Texas is actually becoming more liberal than people would imagine. Just within the past election with Beto v. Cruz, it was very close. A lot of it comes from the youth, especially the people at my age now being able to vote. Many of them (at least, the ones I know and the ones in areas that I grew up in) are fairly liberal.

Totally agree tbh, this bullshit is such a waste of time. The only people that should be on this stage are the ones with the best chance:

Joe Biden

Bernie Sanders

Elizabeth Warren

Pete Buttigieg

kamala Harris

Beto O Rourke

Cory Booker

Amy Klobuchar

Julian Castro

To the others, poll better if u want prime time coverage
