I think they're saying that because Gaga is elegant, sophisticated, very smart during interviews, an unpredictable artist, etc. and also becquse she' actually perceived as a legend by millions of people. I mean she's been called the Queen of pop. I think that gave her like a whole icon/legend aura like she's been there being Gaga since the 90's or something. Believe me, when she's 60, she'll look like she's 40 to the GP again. She looks beautiful and I don't think she looks older. But maybe because I don't pay attention to that. Singing jazz, caring about the prestige of Hollywood suddenly, dressing like a literal grandma at every award show, making Joanne, doing some sort of legacy act in Vegas...she’s literally acting like a 50 year old celebrity who was at her peak 30 years prior. This might offend some of you and I’m sorry, I’ve loved her since I was 15, but this is actually something I think about often and now there’s a thread so I’m venting. She doesn’t act cool or young anymore imo and it’s a bit of a bummer. We all know how Gaga can look like she dominates the world on one day and then look like an innocent little girl the other (Ally Maine anyone?) She is an artist who serves her art and vision, not the other way round. She doesn't create art to accentuate her beauty, she creates art and then devise the necessary fashion and visual elements to complement them. The Countess, Scathach and Ally Maine are played by the same person, Gaga looked like Madonna in 2010, then she looked like Maleficent in 2011 (actually Maleficent looked like Gaga), then during Joanne and A Star Is Born she looked elegant and beautiful all of a sudden.
