As a Persian guy( 'cause Sam is Persian too) I can tell you that he is naturally very hairy or hairy at least which is a common Middle Eastern feauture lol. But when guys my nationality start go to the gym, they also start to shave everything and everywhere .

haha yeah I know, I'm Israeli with Iraqi origins and Iraqis can be very hairy too, it's a shame that he's shaving really.. he could have been very hot
