Well I get that this is a from a show and it's just like someone throwing a GoT themed party. But somehow them using it as a theme party bothers me? Idk maybe cause it's like celebrating the slaves at Mereen or maybe im just being too sensitive? Cause those handmaidens are women raped for them to bear children and using it as a theme party is a little weird.

I know  last year someone pulled a sexy Handmaiden Halloween party costume from the stores because people complained though I cant remember why.

I get it's just a bit of fun but when you look at it another way, it's a bit disturbing that anyone would pick it as a theme. When you think about it, if Gilead was real these women wouldn't be the ones forced into a life of servitude. Because they have money.
