What’s up with Katy Perry

So I just came across Katy Perrys concert of the Limtimes tour that was streamed last week, and decided to give it a try, because I really think she was a great hit maker in the start of the 2010s.  And I was shocked on how much worse it is as a full concert than the tiktoks made it seem. The “vocals”, the storyline that makes no sense, her dancemoves. How is it possible that no one in her team is like “Girl this is not working”, “we might need to consider vocal lessons or lipsyncing”, “having only male dancers when your lead single is Womans World” and so on. I am really curious if it is a case of her team being just “yes-sayers”, or if she doesnt know or just doesnt care. I really dont understand how she has fallen so hard in 10 years

Everything she's done in the past two years is so bad, I'm convinced that she must've done everything on purpose atp 

No pop star team/management is this clueless, she definitely intended for it to be this way, or someone on her team just really hates her and wants to LOSE money for some reason

What happened? In her prime, she was propped up by a massive ‘machine’ with great songwriters, stylists, promotion, and lots of investment from her label.

Now, without the same team, she’s been left to her own devices regarding direction, music, style, vocals etc… Hence all the missteps. 

This only brings to light what many of us knew back then… she got lucky at the start of her career and ultimately just isn’t talented…

It takes raw talent, like Gaga’s, to build yourself back up, when ‘the machine’ is gone.

Gaga did that, through sheer hard work, with Joanne, Jazz, ASIB music, acting, touring. 

Katy is just not talented enough or enough of a hard worker to do the same.

She is condemned to be a has been.

I just watched the intro to the show stream. Her coming on to the stage like that is how I would’ve liked the Chromatica Ball to start out.

Lifetimes could just be a misstep. All her other tours have always had great production and while she may not have the best vocals, neither do many other singers.

yeah because she doesn't have enough fans in the west to do more than 1 show per country

It's funny because after skimming through the livestream video in this forum, I had to go and look up her singing in other concerts by watching youtube videos... and they definitely keep her mic on a lower volume for the concerts/she seemed to sound better in a youtube video.

Whoever took this mic feed and used it for this video had to have hated her, because I want to believe she doesn't actually sing like this.
