"During an interview with French LGBTQ magazine Tetu, the legendary singer-songwriter and forever Queen of Pop spoke about her new album Madame X, which is due out 14 June, and made a comparison that may leave fans divided.

“In many ways, this new album is actually a continuation of American Life,” she said."

(let's not pick on the "queen of pop" part please )

I don't hate Madame X stuff but American Life is just another level. I'm sorry M

Y'all have heard 4 songs of Madame X and don't even wait until you heard the album and already judge like you know the whole thing. She probably means thematically I mean clearly the sound now and 16 years ago are vastly different.  I... sometimes I feel like I have too much common sense for this earth. + reviews keep saying it's nothing like anything she has done before...

I mean, we can't expect the non singles to sound better than the singles,can we? 

I personally have been listening to the singles but i recognize they're just ok

Non singles sometimes  sound better though because they arent curated to be a single and follow a 'formula' so to say 🤔

American Life is a great album, at least thematically.

 

In my opinion, her new songs are some of her best in years, so I'm actually excited about it.
